📚 School’s In, Decay’s Out!
Here are 10 quick dental tips from us for you and the kids heading back to school.

  1. Regular Brushing: Always start and end the day by brushing for two minutes. Set a timer to make it fun!

  2. Floss Daily: After brushing at night, make flossing a habit. It helps get rid of food particles that the toothbrush can't reach.

  3. Healthy Lunch Choices: Opt for teeth-friendly snacks like cheese, yogurt, and crunchy veggies. These not only promote good health but also naturally help in cleaning teeth.

  4. Limit Sugary Snacks & Drinks: Try to minimize the amount of sugary snacks and beverages in their lunchbox. Water is always the best drink choice!

  5. Wear a Mouthguard: If they're involved in sports, ensure they wear a mouthguard to protect their teeth from potential injuries.

  6. Chew Sugar-Free Gum: If allowed, chewing sugar-free gum (especially those with xylitol) after meals can help neutralize acids and reduce cavities.

  7. Dental Kit for School: Pack a small dental kit in their backpack with a travel toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss. Encourage them to use it after lunch.

  8. Regular Check-ups: Schedule regular dental check-ups to ensure everything's in tip-top shape and to catch potential issues early.

  9. Hydrate with Water: Encourage drinking water throughout the day. It helps wash away leftover food particles and keeps the mouth moist.

  10. Ditch the Sticky Snacks: Foods like raisins, fruit roll-ups, and other sticky snacks can cling to teeth, increasing the risk of cavities.
